18 killed as Car Bomber hits Afghan Forces in Khost

Kabul (May 27, 2017):  As many as 18 people were killed and many other injured when a suspected suicide bomber hit an Afghan Special Forces’s headquarters in Khost.  

According to Afghan media, a suspected bomber riding a car laden with explosive targeted vehicles of Afghan forces in the headquarters in Khost province.

An Afghan official said that the attack happened at Mujahid square in Khost city.

Afghan Taliban have intensified their spring offensive against the US forces and Afghan national army and have staged spectacular attacks in recent times.

On last Friday, at least 10 people were killed when a roadside mine exploded in Herat province, local officials confirmed.
