CM Sindh Accuses Federal Govt for not Fulfilling Promises

Karachi(May 30, 2017): Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said on Tuesday that prolonged power outages have worsened in Karachi.

He accused the federal government of not fulfilling its promises. He said that they do not wish that people storm grid stations like they did in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa therefore; federation should improve the transmission line.

Prolonged power outages in Karachi continue to irk locals as the issue has still not been resolved by the authorities.

Among the most affected areas are Shah Fisal Colony, Malir, Khokhrapar, Liaquatabad, Federal-B area, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Orangi Town and others where the power has still not been restored. Karachiites are facing immense troubles as the scorching heat has doubled their plight.

Load shedding has also led to water scarcity in the metropolis as the fast observing faithful have to wander through the streets in the search of water.

K-Electric spokesperson has said that the outages are due to technical fault which will be rectified soon.
Power supply to various parts of Karachi was affected for few hours due to EHT line tripping.

Besides Karachi, other cities of Sindh are reeling under the same situation. Load shedding duration in Sukkur has surge past 10 hours.

In Jamshoro, 500KV high transmission line tripped again affecting the power system of 13 districts of Sindh including Hyderabad. The line is still to be fixed and is under repair.
