Apple Partner Company Wistron Reveals ‘iPhone 7s Plus’ Features

New York(June 19, 2017): An Apple partner has leaked that the ‘iPhone 7s Plus’, set for release in September, will include wireless charging.

Wistron chief executive Robert Hwang told that, along with wireless charging, Apple’s latest Plus model will improve on the water resistant design introduced with the iPhone 7 last year.

Mr Hwang specifically mentioned ‘new features’ coming this year, ‘like waterproof and wireless charging.

He added that ‘Assembly process for the previous generations of [iPhones] have not changed much, though new features like waterproof and wireless charging now require some different testing, and waterproof function will alter the assembly process a bit.’

iPhone 7s release date rumours

Apple are expected to release three new iPhone models this September, including a flagship model iPhone 8 with a radical new design and a curved OLED screen.

It could one day allow people to charge their tablets, phones and other electronic devices using Wi-Fi, mobile data or even satellite signals.

The new technology would use special antennas to direct a ‘beam’ of energy over such frequencies, for example those used by Wi-Fi connections.

This would ensure a strong signal that could extend the range of wireless charging capabilities.

Like other wireless charging techniques, including more conventional ‘inductive’ charging, the design would require both a transmitter and receiver to work.

Inductive charging uses a base-station as the transmitter, which a receiver in the phone picks up.
