Gilani Must Not Have Been Disqualified: Nawaz Sharif

Islamabad (August 8, 2017): Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Yousif Reza Gilani must not have been disqualified, although he himself had supported the Supreme Court decision.

Talking to various visitors including Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Shahbaz Sharif, Choudhry Nisar in Punjab House today, ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that he still does not understand why he was punished.

During his meeting with the party representatives, the former prime minister said that the PML-N in no way is in favour of clash with institutions.

He said the ruling PML-N was targeted in the name of accountability.Third Time Prime Minister said that his first government was toppled by the then President in 1993, second government in 1999 by a military dictator and now third time by a court.

He said that although he and his party has accepted the SC decision, however it does not mean that we are agreed with it.

Nawaz Sharif further said that he is not going anywhere. He will stay in the country and complete the century.Talking about former president General Musharaf, he said that it was the court, which allow him to go out, not his government.

Moulana Fazl Rehman also one of the visitors today. He met and discussed various important matters with him including his trip to Lahore on Wednesday.

Senior Journalists also visited Punjab house and met former Prime Minister.
