Lahore(September 13, 2017): Pakistan Cricket Team will play two T20 international matches in 2018 in Scotland. Pakistan will play first ever this mode of T20 international match against Scotland since 2007 World T20.
Scotland are set to play more cricket against Test-playing nations, with Pakistan agreeing to play two Twenty20 Internationals in Edinburgh next year, it was confirmed on Monday (September 11). Pakistan will play their matches on June 12 and 13 at Belfast.
This will also be the first time Scotland will host a full member for a T20I at home. The matches will come soon after Scotland host England for a one-off One-Day International on June 10.
Kyle Coetzer, the Scotland captain, was understandably pleased with the development and looked forward to an ‘exciting’ 2018.
As a squad we want to test ourselves against the world’s best and in Pakistan and England we have two of the current top sides in the world coming to Scotland next summer.
Along with the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier taking place in 2018, the year is really starting to look like an exciting one for everyone involved in Scottish cricket.”
