Lahore(September 14, 2017): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to host an award ceremony to honour three former captains of the Pakistan team on September 14 (today) in Lahore. Shahid Afridi and Misbah-ul-Haq would attend the ceremony, while Younus Khan has not confirmed yet.
The farewell ceremony for three ex-players have arranged during Azadi Cup’s interval whereas World XI players will also attend the party.Boom Boom Afridi being a all-rounder has served for Pakistan cricket around for 20 years and has played a key role for winning T20 World Cup 2009. Beside this Misbah has taken charge of captaincy in a crucial time and became most popular skipper for achieving highest victories for Pakistan.Misbah also played a significant role for attaining a top position to Pakistan while Younus has become the first Pakistani batsman who had completed 10,000 runs in Test cricket. Younus, being a skipper also made Pakistans’ T20 champion. The special shields will be given to three former cricketers in farewell ceremony.In addition PCB would also award who showed best performance in international cricket in this ceremony.
