A Woman Martyred in Indian Forces Firing at LoC

Muzaffarabad (September 23, 2017): The Indian aggression on Line of Control (LoC) is continued as a woman was martyred in another unprovoked firing by Indian forces while other woman sustained injuries.

According to details Indian forces fired mortar shells on a house of a village of Rawalakot at Nakial Sector, in resultant a woman was martyred and his sister sustained multiple injuries.

On September 21, Four women among six people were martyred in provocative firing by Indian forces along the Working Boundary (WB), according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“Indian border security forces resorted to unprovoked firing of mortars targeting civilians along the Working Boundary in village Bani Sulariyan in [the] Charwa Sector,” the ISPR said.

Pakistan Rangers “befittingly responded on posts targeting [the] civilian population,” the statement added.

The heavily militarized Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary have witnessed sporadic skirmishes and artillery duels since the alleged Indian ‘surgical strike’ last September, in violation of the 2003 Ceasefire Agreement signed by both countries.

Protests were held in the area against the “apathy of the state and the government towards the plight of the people living along the LoC” after the incident.
