Ambassadors of different countries briefed on Kashmir issue at Foreign Office

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday urged international community to take notice of Indian forces atrocities against innocent Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir.

According to Foreign Office spokesman Nafeez Zakaria, the ambassador of foreign countries were called to FO and given a detailed briefing on Kashmir issue  and human rights violation by Indian armed forces.

The briefing to the ambassadors was given in the perspective of Kashmir Solidarity Day, which was observed on Feb 5 across the country.  The diplomats were told that the Occupation forces had martyred 160 Kashmiries since July 2016 to date and injured over 20 thousands.

They were further told that hundreds of Kashmirs lost their eye sight due to excessive and inhuman use of pellet guns.  They spokesman said that the ambassadors were told that owing to Indian stubbornness over 1.5 billion people of the region were deprived of development and prosperity.

The international community was urged to play a role for ensuring right to self-determination of Kashmiri people as per UN resolutions.
