ATC Grants Bail to Fuzia in Domestic Worker Murder Case

Lahore (July 17, 2017): The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has granted interim bail to daughter of MPA, Fuzia, who was booked under the charges of killing 9-year house worker case.

The ATC has granted bail against surety money of Rs two hundred  thousand rupees and ordered to not arrest her till July 28.

Police has included the terrorism charges against her after child protection bureau recommendations.

Fauzia, daughter of MPA Shah Jahan, was booked under charges of killing a nine-year old boy, Akhtar Ali, who was working in their home as a domestic worker. The suspect through her counsel moved the court pleading for her bail.

Akbari Mandi Police had registered an FIR on the complaint of Attiya, sister of the victim boy. The complainant said she and her brother both had been working in the house of the suspect and alleged that Fouzia used to torture his brother. She alleged that the torture caused the death of her brother. The father of the victim said he was not allowed to meet his children.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the recovery of dead body of sixteen years old maid boy from the house of woman MPA Shah Jehan in the area of inside Akbari Gate and has sought report from the CCPO.

He ordered an inquiry in incident. He said justice should be fulfilled from all aspects and indiscriminate action should be taken and the responsible persons should be held accountable under the law. He assured that justice will be ensured at every cost to the bereaved family.
