Box Office Day 4: Simran Collects 1.15 Crore on 1st Monday

Web Desk (September 19, 2017): Kangana Ranaut has been shining brightly on celluloid with her enigmatic performance in Hansal Mehta’s ‘Simran’, and the box-office numbers are proof.

According to the latest report on BoxofficeIndia.com, the film has raked in as much as Rs 10.63 crore approx in four days with Monday’s collections being estimated at around Rs 1.15 crore. The film opened to a slow start with an estimated collection of Rs 2.43 crore approx on Friday, followed by Rs 3.40 crore on Saturday and Rs 3.65 crore on Sunday.

‘Simran’ is loosely based on the life of Sandeep Kaur, an NRI in the United Stateswho has been convicted of four bank robberies. Known to go to great lengths to get into the skin of her character, Kangana took diction lessons to pull off the role of a Gujarati girl convincingly. ‘Simran’ also stars Sohum Shah.
