Karachi (September 20, 2017): A fire broke out in a factory in Karachi late Wednesday afternoon.
Five fire tenders and a water bowser are engaged in dousing the fire in the garment factory.
The garment workshop was operating from one of the upper stories of the four-storey building, which is located in the city’s Patel Para vicinity.
Earlier, a residential building in PECHS Block 6 caught fire after a blast early Wednesday, according to the police.
As many as three fire tenders reached the spot to douse the flames, rescue sources said.

At least one body was recovered from the site, and a security watchman was also injured in the incident, according to the police.
Eight to nine workers are employed at the warehouse, where cosmetics were being made and stored, according to sources.
Rescue officials said the blast, which occurred before the fire spread, caused windows of nearby buildings to shatter and the adjoining wall of a school to collapse.
