Ch Nisar Reiterates Mistrust over Party Leadership Decisions

Islamabad (August 17, 2017): The PML-N’ dismay leader former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar once again criticized the party leadership decisions and expressed his resentment over the announcement of acting party president name before the party high ups in a meeting.

According to the details, senior PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has raised reservations over the appointment of Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob Khan Nasir as the PML-N’s interim president and questioned the reason for calling a meeting if the decision was already taken in Lahore.

The former interior minister also asked why Nasir’s name was announced before the meeting of the PML-N’s central working committee.

Sources revealed the internal story of the meeting and claimed that Chaudhry Nisar strongly criticized the central leadership over the announcement of Saradar Yaqoob Nasir’s name as acting party president today.Chaudhry Nisar expressing his reservation over the party decision asked “Why the executive council meeting  was called when it Sardar Nasir Yaqoob’s name was already decided.

Following the JIT report, which was unveiled on July 10, Ch Nisar seemed to stay away from party leadership conduct and decision regarding tackling of JIT and later supreme court.

Nisar was also missing from the recently held PML-N GT Road rally and had said that no senior party leader was part of the former premier’s ‘homecoming’ caravan.

“Mian Sahab had himself recommended me to have rest,” Nisar Ali Khan told his colleagues during the National Assembly session last week.Later Nisar again rejected this statement and clarified that 90 per cent senior PML-N leadership did not present in rally than why he was targeting.

Earlier, Nasir was appointed interim president of PML-N after a meeting of the party’s central working committee, which met in Islamabad on Thursday to give formal approval of his appointment.

According to reports, Nawaz discussed Nasir’s interim presidency with the senior party leadership at his residence and is said to have received no serious resistance to the proposal.On August 8, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) notified PML-N that with the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif, the party must elect its new president as according to the Political Parties Order (2002), a disqualified person cannot hold the key party position.
