Beijing (Sep 8, 2017): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reaffirmed China’s supports to Pakistan in its fight against terrorism, saying Pakistan has rendered unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
Addressing a press conference along with his Pakistani counterpart Khawaja Muhammad Asif after holding talks, the foreign minister said that peace in Afghanistan was in the interest of not only China and Pakistan but the whole region.

The Chinese Foreign Minister said that terrorism was an international issue. He underlined the need to work against terrorism jointly instead of indulging in blame game.
He said China appreciates Pakistan actions against terrorism.
He said that China will continue cooperation with Pakistan. The minister said that they were determined to further cement Pak-China strategic cooperation.
Speaking on the occasion, Asif said that Pakistan support One China policy. Asif said that the only solution to Afghan issue was negotiation. He also hailed China’s One-Road, One-Belt initiative. He said that Pakistan efforts against terrorism had yielded positive results. He added that Pakistan had been victim of terrorism for years.
He added that Pakistan want better and improved relations with its neighbours. He said that China was playing important role for peace in Afghanistan.
He added that he held talks with Chinese leadership over the prevailing situation in the region.
He said that Pakistan and China support each other stance at international forum.
He said that he had talked to Afghan Foreign Minister yesterday and they would held talks on the sidelines of UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
Earlier, Asif held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi at State Guest House in Beijing.
They discussed regional and international issues. National Security Advisor Nasser Khan Janjua and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China were also present in the the meeting.
