Islamabad (August 2, 2017): The process of consultation to finalize names for federal cabinet is underway and it is widely believed that almost all the members of previous cabinet will secure place in the new cabinet.
Sources said that consultations were in final stage and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will give approval of the members of the new federal cabinet.

They added that the cabinet will take oath today and President Mamnoon Hussain will administer the oath.
The sources said that Senator Ishaq Dar, Khurram Dasttagir, Zahid Hamid, Rana Tanvir, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Khawaja Asif and others would retain their previous portfolios in the new set up.It is to be mentioned here that the new Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi sworn in at a ceremony held at the President House in Islamabad on Tuesday following his election as new chief executive of the country.
He secured 221 votes. His rivals Syed Naveed Qamar of Pakistan People’s Party secured 47 votes, PTI’s candidate Sheikh Rashid Ahmad 33 votes, and Sahabzada Tariqullah of Jamaat-e-Islami bagged 4 votes.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is the former federal minister for petroleum and natural resources, and a businessman who launched the country’s most successful private airline.
