‘Explosion’ in London Underground train

London (September 26, 2017): An “EXPLOSION” has been reported on a London Underground train sending passengers fleeing in panic from the District Line.

Witnesses have reported a “small scale explosion” in a bag triggering a “panic and stampede” at Tower Hill station on the London Underground.

The Tower Hill Station was closed after a low-intensity explosion, which occurred on Tower Hill station’s District Line. The train was inbound from east London to Ealing Broadway.

About five people were injured in the attack. The passengers fled in panic which led to the choking of the carriage’s entrance.

Following the news of the incident, British Transport Police tweeted: “Officers have been called to Tower Hill station following a fire alert. The station is closed whilst officers and @LondonFire respond.
