Islamabad: (May 11, 2017) Federal cabinet has approved budget strategy paper 2017-18 in a meeting held under the chair of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Federal finance Minster Ishaq Dar has briefed cabinet in details over the budget strategy paper, while various ministries have presented proposals regarding development projects on the occasion.
After long discussion among the cabinet member approval of the budget strategy paper has been given. Cabinet also decided to earmark Rs 7 hundred billion for development budget.
According to the sources, budget for the next fiscal year will be presented before Ramazanul Mubarak on May 26.
Process of making budget has already been expedited.
