ISLAMABAD: Illegal removal of kidneys is a cancer of our society and we have to pinpoint hospitals involved in this heinous activity, Chief Justice Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar commented during the suo moto case pertaining to illegal extracting of one Muhammad Irfan here.
Heading the three-member bench of the Supreme Court further said that the issue pertaining to the illegal extracting of Irfan’s kidney took place in Islamabad. How is responsible for the heinous act and in what hospital did it happen, the Chief Justice asked. when SSP Sajid Kiani replied that it remains unknown as yet where the kidney of the victim was removed the Chief Justice said that the hospital where the kidney was extracted would not be in the space but must be here on this very earth.
SSP Sajid Kiani told the court that the investigations are underway and two of the three suspects nominated in the FIR have been arrested. The two arrested suspects were on remand when the complainant made an agreement, he added.
When SSP Kiani said that the complainant has not cooperated, we want to expand the circle of investigation Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar directed him to submit the investigation report within a month.
The court later adjourned the hearing of the case for six weeks.
