Irsa increases water outflow from Mangla Dam

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) has increased water discharge from Mangla Dam to meet the requirements of the province.

According to a spokesman of Irsa, Punjab is being provided 90,000 cusecs water, Sindh 80,000 cusecs, and Balochistan is being provided 6,000 cusecs water from the dam.

The spokesman said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was being provided 31,000 cusecs water for irrigation purposes.

It is to be mentioned here that with rise in temperature water inflow in dams has increased.

After the inflow in dams increased, the regulatory authority also increased outflow from dams to meet the irrigation requirements of provinces.
