ISLAMABAD: Senate has approved Army Act Bill with further amendments, while the approval of 28th amendment constitutional amendment bill regarding military courts extension for two years has been delayed till Tuesday.
Bills of Military courts tenure extended for two years and Pakistan Army Act were also approved by Senate after National Assembly passed those bills. Government Allies Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party have opposed the bills.
The mentioned bills were presented by Law Minister Zahid hamid, on which JUI Senator Maulana Atqaurrahman and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Senator Usman Kakar and Baluchistan National Party’s Jahanzeb Jamal expressed their reservations; hence their opposition could not affect the opinion.
