Lahore (September 20, 2017): A Deputy District Officer (DDO) Health was injured when an anti-polio team was attacked in Fatehgarh area of Lahore.
The attack came despite the tall claims made by the district administration of the city of making stringent security arrangements for the safety of workers and staff taking part in four-day nationwide anti-polio drive that also kicked off in all the districts of Punjab province yesterday.

DDO Health Aziz Bhatti Town Dr. Zubair was injured in the attack while performing his duty during the anti-polio drive here today.
A case against four nominated and two unidentified suspects has been registered at Harbanspura police station.
Meanwhile, taking notice of the incident CEO Health Lahore Dr. Saeed Akhtar said that stringent legal action will be taken against the persons involved in the attack.
