Lahore: Four Suspects Killed in Two Encounters

Lahore (July 16, 2017): At least four suspects have been killed in two separate police encounters within an hour in Lahore on Saturday night.

According to the details, The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), Nawan Kot branch on a tip-off conducted raid at Shera Kot. As the CIA officials cordoned off the area, suspected dacoits opened fire on them and in retaliatory fire, three of the dacoits were killed on the spot, said police sources. While two of their accomplices managed to escape. The police recovered weapons from their possession. The deceased were identified as Farman, Ahsan and Abid. Police said that they were wanted in many cases of killings and robberies. Rescue official shifted the bodies to Mayo Hospital.

On the other hand, police gunned down a suspected dacoit in Raiwind. Police said that three suspected dacoits snatched a motorcycle from a citizen at Sunder area and were fleeing to Raiwind when security officials indicated them to stop at a check post but the dacoits opened fire at the policemen. One of the dacoits was killed in retaliatory fire and two others managed to escape by taking advantage of darkness, said police sources.
