Islamabad (August 1, 2017): The spokesman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has clarified that the no enquiry against the PMLN’s candidate for prime minister is underway.
Asking the media to abstain from spread rumors the spokesman said that the LNG case was closed by NAB Karachi in its meeting of the Regional Board held on December 19, last year.

The spokesman also advised media not to spread rumor about Naeem Mangi’s being transferred to Balochistan. DG NAB Balochistan Ahsan Naeem Mangi has not been transferred to Rawalpindi, the NAB spokesman clarified.
It may be mentioned here that PMLN’s Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is expected to win the election of prime minister, scheduled to be held at 3 p.m. today because in the 342-seat National Assembly PMLN has 188 seats and the winning candidate has to secure at least 172 votes.
It may be mentioned here that removal of Mr Sharif by the Supreme Court in the Panama Papers case, the PML-N had nominated Mr Abbasi as its candidate for the prime minister’s post for an interim period before Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif replaces him for the remaining 10 months of the government’s term.
The election of the new prime minister will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday and Abbasi looks all set get elected the new prime minister of the country today in view of his PMLN’s number of seats in the National Assembly that exceeeds the 172 number required.
