Three Civilians Injured in Indian Firing,Shelling at LoC

Kotli, Azad Kashmir (July 18, 2017): Indian forces once again resorted to unprovoked and indiscriminate firing and shelling in Nakyal Sector along the Line of Control. Three civilians have reportedly been injured from the firing and shelling of Indian forces in gross violation of ceasefire agreement.

The Indian unprovoked firing and shelling which started at around 6 o’clock this morning across the entire Nakyal Sector continues still.

It may be mentioned that this is the second ceasefire violation by the Indian forces during the last 24 hours.

The Indian aggression from across the border into Azad Kashmir territory has forced the people of the area to remain inside their houses while trade centers and markets also remain close.

Yesterday four people including a woman were injured when Indian forces yet again resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling in various areas of Nakyal Sector along the Line of Control from across the border. The unprovoked firing and shelling by Indian forces in in Tarkandi area of Nakyal Sector also completely destroyed three houses.

Day before yesterday Indian troops targeted an Army vehicle moving along Neelum River on Line of Control at Athmuqam in Azad Kashmir.

According to ISPR, the vehicle fell into the River and four soldiers drowned. Body of one martyr was been recovered and search for remaining three is in progress.

The vehicle plunged into Neelum River. Body of one martyred soldier has been recovered, while search is on for the remaining three, the statement read.

On July 10, five Pakistani civilians, including four women, were martyred after Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing Rawalakot sector, Satwal, Manwal, Tatrinote areas. The incident also left four others, including three girls, injured.

In response, Pakistan Army destroyed two Indian checkposts leaving four enemy troops dead.
