JUP Vows To Support PML-N in NA-120 By-Elections

Lahore (September 13, 2017): The leader of the ruling party PML-N Maryam Nawaz challenged the opponents and asked them to come in field and face PML-N rather hiding in mountains.

She made these views while talking to media after the meeting with Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP) President Pir Aijaz Hashmi, who ensured him full support for PML-N not only in by election in NA 120 but in next general election as well.

Maryam said she is representing the entire Sharif family as her mother was away for treatment in London and her father and uncle were also there.

Speaking about former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar, Maryam said she respected him regardless and what he said was his manner of expressing his thoughts.

Earlier, Jamiat Ulema Pakistan leader Pir Ijaz on Wednesday vowed to support the PML-N in the upcoming by-polls for the NA-120 constituency.Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, met the JUP chief in the provincial capital and gained the party’s support.

Talking to Media Pir Ijaz said the JUP and Muslim League have worked together for the formation of Pakistan, therefore, they would back the PML-N in its endeavours for the country’s prosperity.

Earlier, Maryam Nawaz met with the party polling agents for NA-120 by election in Mazang and directed them to record on any unusual situation your cell phones during the election day.

Addressing to female polling agents she said “The role of polling agents is vital and prominent and they should have to pay it with concentration.”

She also directed the agents that they should work with open eyes and hears and resist any kind of unfair means and will not leave the place till the getting of attested copy of results.

The NA-120 seat fell vacant following the disqualification of Nawaz as the prime minister by the Supreme Court on July 28. In the 2013 General Elections, Nawaz had won the seat by a substantial margin, defeating Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Yasmin Rashid, who will be contesting for the seat this time around too.
