Mothers’ Day:  Celebrities and their Mothers

ISLAMABAD:  People across the globe including Pakistan are celebrating Mother’s Day today to share their sentiments and express profound love for their mothers today.

The day is a part of celebrations to honour mothers and highlight their sacrifices for their children and their vital role in the society.

The day to honour motherhood is celebrated on every second Sunday of May and is a time to appreciate mothers expressing gratitude for the hardships they bear in bringing up a child.

Mothers are actually the guiding force and are responsible for developing the character and personality of a child. Mothers shape the lives of children and the Mothers Day is the opportunity to pay tribute to them for their contribution.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says, ” My mother is my real asset and today I am standing tall because of her. I am today because of her.”

“We owe much of who we are, our characters, our accomplishments, and our ambitions to our mothers and I sincerely hope that we will remember that in every stride that we make,” he added.
