Mufti Qavi Submits Bail Plea in Multan Court

Multan (November 3, 2017): The well known religious scholar Mufti Qavi, who is in police custody in model girl Qandeel Baloch’s murder case has submitted bail application in court on Friday.

Mufti Qavi is in prison on six day judicial remand in model Qadeel Baloch case, however he pleaded court for bail through his counsel before the additional session judge Multan.

On his request the court has issued notices to concern parties for November 6 before adjourning the hearing.

It is pertinent to mention that after keeping in jail on 13-day physical remand he was sent again in jail on six days judicial remand.on November 1, a judicial magistrate in Multan sent Mufti Abdul Qavi to jail on judicial remand and adjourned case hearing till November 7.

Judicial Magistrate agreed to send Mufti Qavi to jail on judicial remand as his two-day physical remand was expired.

The police informed the court that they had completed investigation in Qandeel Murder case.The Investigation Officer ordered Police to submit further details of the case to the court in the next hearing.

Police had included Mufti Qavi’s name as a suspect in the murder case of the social media celebrity on the request of her father, Muhammad Azeem. Mufti Qavi has denied his involvement in the murder.

Mufti Abdul Qavi, who managed to flee the court after rejection of his bail application earlier today in Qandeel Baloch murder case, has been arrested from a house in Muzaffargarh.

On October 18, Accused Mufti Qavi was arrested after various raids conducted by police in Multan and Muzaffargarh.Mufti Qavi, who is one of the accused nominated in Qandeel murder case, had appeared before the court but had left it before hearing what the court has decided over his bail application.

Mufti Abdul Qavi was nominated in Qandeel Baloch murder case as an abettor on August 12 this year

According to police sources Mufti Abdul Qavi was nominated as abettor on the plea of Qandeel’s father Azeem Iqbal under Section 10 of Pakistan Penal Code.
