ٰIslamabad (May 24, 2017): National Assembly has given go ahead companies bill 2017 with majority, however PTI, PPP and ANP opposed the bill.
The assembly session starts in the chair of speaker Ayaz Sadiq and companies bill came under discussion.
PPP MNA Naveed Qamar opposing the bill said that tax on property was not included in federal government list as it was the provinces’ right to collect it.
PTI’s Asad Umer argued that articles regarding agriculture, in the bill, has no reason, these articles should be scrapped from the bill.
The situation, during the discussion, turned pleasant when Opposition leader Khursheed Shah put the speaker in trouble demanding presentation of 257 articles of the bill simultaneously, on which Ayaz Sadiq said “Shah Sahib Kindly mercy on my condition, how can I read out all 257 articles,” but Shah replied “We are not in hurry take each article separately.”
Speaker requested him to take back his demand in reply “I will offer you dinner” as Khursheed Shah accepted speaker’s request and agreed to present all articles jointly.
