Islamabad (September 14, 2017): Speaker Ayaz Sadiq was angered once again for the second straight day today over absence of senior officials of Ministry of religious Affairs today.
It may be mentioned here that the Speaker had also expressed anger over the failure of the ministries to submit the replies despite repeated reminders during the yesterday’s session which was prorogued ultimately due to lack of quorum.
The angered Speaker summoned the federal Minister for Religious Affairs and the Joint Secretary of the said ministry.
Meanwhile, the treasury still failed to fulfill the quorum for the third day thereby leaving the passing of the Access to Information Bill in balance which remained unapproved still.
During today’s session federal Minister for National Health Saira Afzal Tarar offered Khyber Pakhtwankhwa (KPK) help to help tackle dengue which has gone berserk in many cities and area of the province. If you are shy of Punjab government’s help we are here to help you, she said addressing the KPK government.
The Health minister informed the House during the Question hour that the number of patients of HIV AIDS has peaked to dangerous level with 8076 people getting infected with the disease of which 503 were registered in the federal capital, 3,878 in Punjab, 881 in KPK province and 291 in Balochistan province while 2,521 were registered in Sindh province.
The actual number of AIDS patients is way over these numbers because people tend to conceal this disease.
Like yesterday the lack of quorum was pointed out when Access to Information Bill was tabled for the approval again today and like yesterday the session today was also prorogued till 10:30 tomorrow morning due to lack of quorum without the approval of the said bill.
