Saying that other great industry colleague Om Puri, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home recently, went through immense suffering and pain during his last year, Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah expressed sorrow for missing Om Puri’s funeral.
According to Indian entertainment website Om Puri was Naseeruddin Shah’s batchmate at the National School of Drama and was Naseer’s junior in the Bollywood.
“I know for a fact that Om was really suffering during the last few years. And there was no way out of it. Though his death was sudden, I can’t say it was totally unexpected. In a way, death has relieved him of all the stress, and that includes the bad films he took on, I presume for financial reasons. Om took all the criticism on his chin,” Shah said while talking about his long time colleague Om Puri.
