NEPRA Raises Electricity Price by 3.90 Rupees Per Unit

Islamabad (September 20, 2017): National Electric Power Regulatory Authority  has raised the electricity price per unit by Rs 3.90 after being pressurized by the distribution companies.

NEPRA passed five-year tariff agreement which will raise the electricity price for a defined period. The prices will remain Rs. 3.90 per unit high for the duration of five years.

Moreover, monthly users of 100 units will have to pay a tariff of Rs 0.9 on every unit. Consumers using 200 and 300 units per month will pay tariffs of Rs 3.90 and Rs 1.50 per unit, respectively.

These new tariffs will be effective immediately and NEPRA will inform consumers with the latest developments.
