Karachi (November 14, 2017): The Sindh High Court has issued the notices to prosecutor General Sindh and others on the request against the transfer of Karachi airport attack case from Karachi to Sukkur.
The two-member bench of SHC hearing the petition of accused Sarmad Siddiqui against the transfer of airport attack case to Sukkur issued the notices to prosecutor general Sindh and other and summoned the reply till December 12.
During the proceeding, Justice Sadiq Hussain Bhatti asked that when the witnesses of the accused hailed from Karachi why the case was transferred to Sukkur and told the respondents to submit the reply in this connection.The petition filed by the accused contained that military court has given death sentenced to four terrorists in airport attack case as the trial in Anti-terrorism court is in final stages in Karachi while CTD has transferred the cast to Sukkur on October 21 by pretending arrest of offender Abdul Rashid.
He pleaded the court that his life in danger in Sukkur, therefore court should stop transfer of cast to sukkur.
