ISLAMABAD: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours with rains and snowfall in Gilgit-Baltistan, Malakand and Hazara divisions.
Dense foggy conditions are also expected to prevail over plain area of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
In Sakardu, snowfall continued for the last five days due to which temperature has fallen 15 degree below freezing point. The heavy snowfall has disturbed routine life badly in the area and all roads linking it with rest of the country have been cut off.
Temperature of some major cities recorded on Saturday morning:
Islamabad and Lahore eight degree centigrade, Karachi thirteen, Peshawar eleven, Quetta, Gilgit and Murree minus two and Muzaffarabad three degree centigrade.
