OGRA Proposes Rs 2.24 Per Liter Increase in POL Prices

Islamabad (August 30, 2017): The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary carrying proposal increase of Rs 2.24 per liter in petrol prices to Petroleum Division of Ministry of Energy, however the final decision will be taken by the prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

The OGRA summary with the proposed increase of Rs 2.24 per liter in petrol, High speed diesel Rs .70 per liter, Light Diesel Rs 12 and Kerosene Oil Rs 15 per liter has been sent to minister of energy.

However the finance ministry will announce new prices after the consultation with the PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

The new prices will come into effect from September 1.
