NAIROBI: At least 30 people were killed and dozens sustained burn injures in an oil tanker explosion near the central town of Naivasha in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to the details, an oil tanker heading to Uganda lost control and rammed into several vehicles in Naivasha, north-west of the capital Nairobi.
Kenya National Disaster Management Unit Deputy Director Mwachi Pius Mwachi said that the tanker had been travelling downhill when it went out of control.
Eye witnesses said that as the oil tanker rammed into vehicles a huge fireball quickly engulfed the other vehicles.
