Pakistan Faces $98 bn Loss in Export due to TDA Poor Policies

Islamabad (July 17, 2017): Poor policies made by trade ministry have added 98 billion loss to the country’s economy. The soaring reason behind the miserable condition of export is violating the law of appointments in the organization.

All the import sectors of the country hit the bottom due to the negligence of the ministry.

According to the classified data, during fiscal years 2013-2014 the country suffered 20 billion dollars loss while in 2014-15 it was 22 billion dollars, and it remained high in coming two fiscal years.

Present government had set a target to make a vital increase in exports but could not achieve it due to its poor policies and exploitation of merits. A non-professional was serving as a administrator of the Trade Development Authority (TDA) who destroyed the institution for his personal interests. Official report showed that the TDA remained busy in developing fashion industry and was it was only mending ties with Indian fashion industry. Report blamed TDA for expending tax money in useless events.

According to the exporters, federal minister, Khurram  Dastgir Khan is a so-called minister who has no authority. The minister could not come up with the expectations of exporters.
