Islamabad (July 28, 2017): The five-bench larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa has disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. It has also disqualified a number of other close associates and public office holders in the historic judgment announced earlier today in Panamagate case.

The 5-0 verdict also declared federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and prime Minister’s son-in-law Capt (r) Safdar. The court also ordered National Accountability Bureau (NAB) file references  against prime minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz and sons Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz and complete the trial within six months.

The court also ordered the administration that no action of any sort should be taken against the six members of the Joint Investigation Team that probed the Panama case.
