Post Panamagate verdict bull-run on PSX continues; index crosses 50,000 points barrier

KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday crossed 50,000 points psychological barrier during morning session as the post Panamagate verdict bull-run continue on the bourse.

The bench mark KSE-100 index hit 50124 points during first session.

Following the Panama case verdict last week, the benchmark KSE-100 index had reacted positively by momentarily surging more than 1,869 points. However, the benchmark index could not maintain the full momentum and adjusted to a gain of approximately 1,140 points by the close of Thursday’s trading session.

In the months prior to the verdict, the benchmark index had oscillated between 47,000-49,000 points as investors remained wary of the court’s proceedings and impending judgement.
