ؒLahore (May 19, 2017): Punjab government has decided to launch combing operation in universities across the province with the help of Rangers to root out extremism.
The decision was made in a cabinet meeting for law and order while attended by high-ups of Punjab governments.
Meeting was told that banned organizations were polluting the minds of universities students and need immediate action to stop them.
Following the intelligence reports cabinet committee has decided to launch operation with the cooperation of Rangers.
Earlier, Punjab Higher Education commission’s working group for peace had already been expressed its apprehension over the soaring extremism and intolerance in the universities suggesting establishment of students service centers, debates for promotion of culture, lesson of peace and tolerance and effective implementation on National Action Plan.
