Qatar To Grant Free Tourist Visa for Pakistanis on Arrival

Islamabad (September 19, 2017): State of Qatar has decided to grant free prompt tourist entry visa for on their arrival in the state of Qatar.

According to the recent release, issued by Embassy of State of Qatar in Islamabad has announced that all the Pakistani Nationals will be granted free entry visa for the period of 30 days on their arrival in the state of Qatar on the following conditions.

  1. The Passport of the applicant must be valid for 6 at least six months.
  2. The Passenger must have valid return ticket.
  3. They traveler must have cash money equivalent to 5000 Riyal or valid credit card.
  4. Visa is granted for 30 days free of charges and extendable for a similar period after conforming return ticket.
  5. Persons coming directly from Pakistan, should have certificate of vaccination against Polio according to the procedures currently in place.

Earlier Qatar Airways introduced a visa-on-arrival facility for Pakistani passport holders.

Qatar Airways is state-owned and the national flag carrier of the country.

According to information available on Qatar Airways’ official website, Pakistani nationals with a return/onward ticket can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days.The Report further said that Pakistani nationals can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days under the new rules. They can also apply to extend their stay by another 30 days.

In August, Qatar had offered visa-free entry to 80 countries. Qatar Airways chief Akbar al-Baker had said the state-owned carrier, which this year plans to extend its network to 62 new destinations, would be a primary beneficiary of the decision.
