Islamabad (September 13, 2017): Chief of Awami Muslim League Shaikh Rashid has filed a petition at Supreme Court against National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for failing to follow apex court’s order to re-open cases against ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif and family members.
Talking to media outside the Supreme Court prior to filing the petition Rashid said that if NAB fails to take action in Hudabiya Paper Mills case as directed by the apex court it would have to face contempt of court. Sharif Brothers and their children are involved in Hudabiya Paper Mills case which the apex court had ordered open, he added.

Saying that disqualified Nawaz Sharif has taken shelter in London he added that the verdict of NAB reference would be the same as Supreme Court’s verdict that disqualified Nawaz Sharif.Rashid also said that he received a notice late last night to be present at the hearing of the review petition of ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif with respect to Panama verdict and thus he has come to the court directly from the airport.
Later Rashid submitted his petition against NAB before the five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Ejazul Ahsan and Justice Azamt Saeed Sheikh which is hearing the review petition.During the hearing of the case when Justice Asif Saeed Khosa asked Rashid about the application was about he said that it is about Hudabiya case because despite Supreme Court’s order to NAB to reopen the case no progress has been made in Hudabiya case.It may be mentioned here that Rashid had filed a petition at the Supreme Court on August 28over NAB’s failure to file the Hudabiya Paper Mills case.
Saying that rumors about another NRO are circulating across the country Rashid plead the Supreme Court to have its orders implemented, Rashid said while talking to media.
