Striving to Eradicate Corruption with Transparency: Chairman NAB

Islamabad (September 25, 2017): Chairman National Accountability Bureau Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has reiterated commitment to eradicate corruption with absolute transparency and on merit with iron hands.

He was addressing the inaugural session of 22nd Annual Conference of the Director Generals of NAB in Islamabad on Monday.

The Chairman said the statistics from 2014 to 2017 show the hard work being put in by all ranks of NAB staff.

He said fight against corruption is being taken as a national duty.

“NAB has recovered Rs 290 billion rupees so far while 50 billion rupees only recovered in last four years and submitted to national exchequer,” he said adding that increase in corruption complaints was the sigh of people confidence in NAB.

He claimed,  “Pakistan is role model for the SAARC countries in eradication of corruption therefore Pakistan became the first chairman of anti-corruption forum of the organization.
