Rawalpindi (July 25, 2017): The Chief of Army Staff General Javed Qamar Bajwa vowed that Lahore like incidents can’t shatter their determination to root out terrorism from the country’s soil.

“Such incidents can’t lower our resolve to eliminate terrorism from its roots,” Army chief said while chairing security meeting at Corps Headquarter Lahore , ISPR said in his release.
“We have fought terrorism as a nation. Key to success is national participation,” Army chief said adding that terrorists would be rooted out soon.

High civil and military officials have attended the meeting, which is deliberating over security situation of the country especially in Punjab.
Earlier, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Lahore General Hospital, where almost three dozen of the injured victims are undergoing treatment.
The army chief was given a briefing on the nature of injuries by the hospital’s medical superintendent.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations, the army chief departed from Rawalpindi earlier to head to Lahore to chair a meeting on security issues following the Lahore blast.
