Trump to soon issue new executive order on illegal immigrants: Spicer

WASHINGTON: White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has said that President Donald Trump will soon issue a new executive order on illegal immigrants in the United States.

While addressing a press briefing in Washington, Spicer said that 900,000 to 1,000,000 illegal immigrants existed in the US. The press secretary said that the president considering new legislations about the illegal refugees.

He said that all refugees will not be targeted at once. Deportation of criminal immigrants was the top priority of the government, Spicer added.

Spicer said,” Right now there’s millions of people in this country that are in the country illegally.  I think the focus continues to be that 800,000 or 900,000 that have already had an order to have them removed and get them processed through in a way that continues to keep America safe.

He further said, “Legal immigration, obviously, is a completely separate subject, and that includes visa reform and all that other stuff.  The President has talked about that.  He is talked about it with business leaders — H-1B visas, et cetera.  You are going to see more of that coming.  But I think there is a prioritization of how we deal with immigration — both illegal and then legal.”

While local media reported that the new executive order will impose ban on the people of certain seven Muslim countries with new wordings. The report said that the Trump administration decided to change the worlds after court orders.
