Rawalpindi (November 9, 2017): The US ambassador David Hale and Jordanian air chief has met on Thursday with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at military headquarter and discussed the issues related to the regional security and bilateral interest.
The US ambassador David Hale called on General Bajwa at armed forces headquarters and the issues of regional security, particularly Afghanistan situation came under discussion.
The meeting took place at General Headquarters Rawalpindi, with matters of mutual interest coming under discussion, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department said.
Later army chief met with Jordan air chief marshal at General Head Quarters (GHQ) and issues of bilateral ties came under discussion, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The meeting took place at General Headquarters Rawalpindi, with matters of mutual interest coming under discussion.The RJAF commander praised Pakistan Army’s efforts against terrorism, added ISPR.

Hale had earlier called on the COAS in August and said that the US values Pakistan’s role in the war against terror and seeks cooperation from Pakistan to resolve the Afghan issue.
General Bajwa, during the meeting, had emphasised that peace in Afghanistan was important for Pakistan as for any other country and Pakistan had done a lot towards that end.
The COAS had stated that Pakistan shall keep on doing its best; not to appease anyone but in line with Pakistan’s national interest and national policy, the ISPR stated in a press release.
