US President Donald Trump signs six executive orders

WASHINGTON: United States’ 45th President Donald Trump signed six executive orders on his first day in the White House.

According to the US Television, Donald Trump formally nominated retired General James Mattis as defence secretary and issued a an executive order giving him permission for civil service. He waived the legal requirement that a retired military personnel be out of the civil service for seven years after the retirement. Retired General James Mattis will sworn in as defence secretary after the approval of the Senate.

Trump suspended the key rules regarding property issued on January 9. He issued five other executive orders regarding different matters. Obama administration’s policy pages were also removed from the White House’s website . US First Lady’s officials Twitter account was also transferred to Melania Trump today.
