Woman attacks, injures boyfriend for eating all her chips

Sometimes a small issue turned into violence and the same situation has appeared in when a woman stabbed her boyfriend when he ate all her chips that cost her jail sentence.

A court heard the couple were at a friend’s house when they sat down for a plate of home-cooked chips.

But when Mr Hill scoffed the lot, Clayton erupted in fury. Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said: “Simon Hill ate them all and that caused her to get angry.

“She was seen to slap him across the face before leaving the room. She picked up a knife in the kitchen and then stabbed him causing a superficial injury.”

After the violent bust-up they left the house, but he returned soon after, fearing for his safety.

But the next morning Clayton returned to the property and attacked him for a second time.

Blackburn magistrates’ court heard Mr Hill emerged from a room with cuts to his hands and shouted: “She has stabbed me again”.

Miss Akhtar told the court : “She returned the following morning and Mr Hill suffered injuries to his hands.”

Clayton, 34, of Blackburn, Lancs, pleaded guilty to assaulting Mr Hill, causing him actual bodily harm.

She was sentenced to 26 weeks in custody and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge on release.

The prosecutor said the victim had refused to co-operate or give a statement to police. She said: “He later told police he didn’t want to co-operate because she has mental health problems.”

Richard Prew, defending, said there had been no previous domestic incidents. and the couple had enjoyed a very supportive relationship until this incident.
