Islamabad: A 100 percent uptick reported in the numbers of people filing the income tax returns on the yearly basis.
According to the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) sources said that almost doubled number of people with respect to previous year submitted the tax returns.
The number of people filing the tax returns have surpassed 33, 85000, the FBR sources said.
Sources said that as many as a revenue of Rs 55.49 billions have been collected along with the tax returns.
Meanwhile a 37 percent people didn’t submit any tax with the income tax returns. sources said
The number of people who mentioned their tax earning as zero are 12,40, 742.
