WEB DESK: According to Afghan media reports, last night, 11 Taliban fighters were allegedly poisoned at a military base in Badghis province.
Sources indicate that these Taliban fighters were members of the group’s Third Infantry Brigade in Badghis. Afghan media further reported that Taliban helicopters arrived in Badghis this morning at around 5 AM, and the poisoned fighters were transported to Herat province for medical treatment.
Additionally, Taliban authorities have reportedly detained the base’s cook in connection with the incident. However, the Taliban have not yet issued any official statements regarding the motives behind the poisoning or the current condition of the affected fighters.
