110 Aircraft Engineers, Technicians resigned PIA during one year

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is facing a severe shortage of aircraft engineers and technicians, as more than 110 Aircraft engineers and Technicians have resigned PIA during a year.

According to sources, it has been revealed that 110 aircraft engineers and technicians resigned over the course of one year. The resigned staff includes 45 engineers and 65 technicians.

Sources within the airline state that employees are leaving for better job opportunities in other airlines.

Officials in the engineering department of the national airline have confirmed the resignations of engineers and technicians, and sources have indicated that the work of the remaining aircraft engineers and technicians has doubled in terms of aircraft maintenance.

According to sources, 40 more Aircraft Engineers and Technicians have pending resignations.
