KASUR: At least twelve people sustained injuries, including two in critical condition, when a wedding guests’ bus collided with a mini-truck near Athilpur on Raiwind Road on Saturday.
The accident occurred when a Mazda bus, transporting a wedding party from Kasur to Raiwind, rammed into a mini-truck. Following the impact, the bus caught fire, causing panic among the passengers.
Among the injured are Shabana, Attaullah, Ali Hassan, Shafiq, Shamim Bibi and several others. Rescue 1122 personnel arrived promptly at the scene and launched emergency relief efforts.
The wounded were shifted to Bulleh Shah Hospital, while those in critical condition were referred to Lahore’s General Hospital for advanced treatment.
Police officials also reached the site and initiated an investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that overspeeding and negligent driving were the main causes behind the crash.
